Many patients with advanced diseases of the genitourinary tract have few symptoms, while other patients have less significant physiological genitourinary abnormalities with far greater amounts of pain.
The disorders of the genitourinary system that may result in chronic pelvic pain are discussed in this section, along with the
symptoms and signs that these problems often produce, including interstitial cystitis and
other problems of the genitourinary system.
